Dr. Rahul Rathod

Dr. Rahul Rathod is Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer of Gabriel & Co. A physician by training, he has spent more than 25 years where science, strategy, and patient care meet – including over 12 years heading Medical Affairs functions across global and Indian organizations: Bayer, where he rose from Medical Advisor to Head of Medical Affairs – India, served as Regional Medical Expert – Diabetes for Asia-Pacific, and held an interim Global Medical Affairs Lead role in Beijing; Mitra RxDx as Senior Director – Medical & Clinical Development; Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories as Cluster Head – Medical Affairs and later Cluster Head – Clinical Research & New Product Ideation; and AbbVie India as Director – Medical Affairs.

The scale of that career maps directly onto what Gabriel & Co does for clients. Across global, Asia-Pacific, and India roles, he has led, supported, or conducted more than 250 advisory board and insight-generation meetings and over 4,500 medical education programs, and built a thought-leader network spanning more than 4,000 engagements. He has led 65+ clinical studies and overseen more than 200 scientific publications – alongside authoring 85+ peer-reviewed articles of his own – presented nearly 50 regulatory dossiers (NDA/SNDA/GCT) before CDSCO and its Subject Expert Committees, and successfully launched more than ten innovative therapies, including Mirena, Yaz, Xarelto, Eylea, and Venclexta – the last being AbbVie’s first global product launch in India.

What those years made unmistakable: great science underperforms not for lack of data or talent, but for lack of strategy – in positioning, in evidence planning, and in leadership capability. Gabriel & Co exists to close that gap.
