The PharmD Who Built Their Own Case

The Situation: A PharmD graduate with additional qualifications in Clinical Research had been told repeatedly that the degree was not the right credential for Medical Affairs. They had clinical pharmacology expertise, GCP training, and a detailed understanding of drug interactions and safety profiles, all directly relevant to Medical Affairs work. What they had no framework for was presenting any of it as a Medical Affairs asset.

The Gabriel & Co Approach: ACPMA provided that framework. Working through modules on evidence generation, pharmacovigilance, and stakeholder engagement, they discovered that PharmD training had given them an unusually detailed grounding in the competencies Medical Affairs actually requires. Their pharmacovigilance research became a work sample in Medical Information and safety communication, not just a thesis on a CV.

The Outcome: Interviews stopped being about what the degree was not, and started being about what they could do. They joined a mid-sized pharmaceutical company in a Medical Information role, with a discussed growth path toward an MSL position. The degree was never the problem. Nobody had helped them make the case for it before.

Every qualified healthcare graduate deserves a fair chance. ACPMA builds the case.
