From Data Asset to Clinical Conversation

The Situation: A specialty pharmaceutical company had a well-supported oncology product with a robust clinical trial dataset, and was losing share to a competitor with weaker scientific credentials on paper. A strategic review told a clear story: the product’s scientific narrative had never been deliberately designed. Oncologists were receiving data points, not a coherent clinical argument.

The Gabriel & Co Approach: An Evidence Gap Assessment identified which clinical questions the target oncology audience had not yet seen the product answer. A Scientific Positioning engagement followed, rebuilding the communication strategy around the evidence that actually changes prescriber behaviour. KOL engagement was redesigned around clinical peer conversations rather than formal advisory boards alone.

The Outcome: The change appeared first in the field: medical teams reported different questions in oncologist conversations, about patient selection rather than justification. Over the following quarters, the product began stabilising and then recovering share in accounts where the scientific conversation had been redesigned. The data was never the problem. The story, how it was told, and to whom, made the difference.

Great science. The right narrative. Clinical adoption follows.
