Dr. Sanjay Kalra

Dr. Sanjay Kalra is an endocrinologist at Bharti Hospital, Karnal, and Treasurer of the International Society of Endocrinology (ISE). In more than 28 years of endocrine practice he has been a strong advocate of person-centered endocrinology, spanning clinical care, education, and research.

A Past President of both the Endocrine Society of India (ESI) and the South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies (SAFES), he has worked to build bonds and bridges across the global endocrine fraternity. As Vice President of the South Asian Obesity Forum and President of the International Society of Obesity, he continues to expand the horizons of endocrine and metabolic health. He serves on the editorial boards of numerous national and international journals and textbooks, has authored over 500 PubMed-indexed articles, and is a Section Editor of the PubMed-indexed textbook EndoText. He rounds off his working days with his favorite pursuits – the traditional Indian folk dance, bhangra, and his exercise companion, the mugdar (Indian club bell).
