Sanjay Gupta

Sanjay Gupta is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Gabriel & Co. A healthcare entrepreneur, clinical research strategist, and author, he is also Founder of Catalyst Clinical Services Pvt. Ltd. With more than two decades of leadership experience, he has made significant contributions to advancing clinical research, scientific communications, and research capacity across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare sectors.

He has provided strategic leadership for over 100 clinical studies – spanning global registration trials, early-phase research, investigator-initiated studies, and real-world evidence programs across a broad range of therapeutic areas – with expertise across clinical development, regulatory science, quality systems, medical writing, scientific publications, and research operations. A widely published thought leader, he has authored several books on clinical research and contributed to leading international peer-reviewed journals including Seminars in Oncology, the British Journal of Cancer, the British Journal of Radiology, PLOS ONE, and Scientific Reports, with work presented at forums including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Recognized as one of the pioneers of structured clinical research education in India, he has built competency-based training programs that have reached more than 12,000 professionals across over 30 countries, and served as National Coordinator for a cancer clinical trials network established by the University of Oxford, UK. Before founding Catalyst Clinical Services, he held leadership positions at Eli Lilly and Company (India), and has served as a trusted advisor, independent auditor, and consultant to pharmaceutical companies, CROs, healthcare institutions, academic organizations, and government agencies.
