From Seed Funding to a Market-Ready Scientific Story
The Situation: A seed-funded medical device startup had developed a minimally invasive monitoring device with strong preliminary clinical data. The engineering and clinical teams were exceptional. But between proof-of-concept data and a hospital’s confidence to adopt the device sat a gap nobody on the founding team had been trained to navigate: they had data, but not a scientific story.
The Gabriel & Co Approach: An Evidence Gap Assessment mapped what evidence existed and what the target clinical audience specifically needed to see. An Evidence Generation Roadmap prioritised a pragmatic real-world evidence study over a full RCT, achieving clinical credibility at a fraction of the cost. A Scientific Communication strategy followed: congress abstracts to build early visibility, a publication targeted at a specialist journal, and a clinician-facing scientific brief.
The Outcome: The sequence built on itself. Congress presentations came first and started clinical conversations. Those conversations produced clinical champions, several of whom volunteered as investigators. The peer-reviewed publication followed, and by the next funding round, independent clinical validation had become part of the investor story rather than a promise in the deck.
The right evidence. The right sequence. The right clinical story. That is what we build.
